Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath inaugurated the development works of canals at Maroli Ward of Mangaluru City Corporation at a cost of Rs. 1 Crore.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kamath said that a grant of Rs. 50 Lakh has been released from the Minor Irrigation Department for the development of a canal near Suvarna Residency, Sri Suryanarayana Temple in Maroli and Rs. 50 Lakh for the development of a canal in Kanapatagu area. He said that as per the demand of these environmental leaders, funds have been provided keeping in mind the local issues and it has been suggested to start the work at the earliest.
