Mangaluru: Rotary Club of Mangalore Midtown organised a tree plantation drive at various school surroundings as part of the District’s Environment Project on 1st July 2020.
Tree Planting is one of the key programme of District 3181’s Environment Project for the year 2020-2021. The saplings were collected from Karnataka Forest Dept. and were planted in suitable locations especially where the basic needs like sun, fertile soil, water, and airy environment are available with the support of organizations that can monitor their growth.
The institutions that participated in the tree planting programme are Amrithlalaji High School, Kelarai, Neermarga; D. K. Hr. Primary School, Bikkarnakatta, Mangalore; Ramashrama High School, Yeyyadi, Mangalore and RCC (Rotary Community Corps), Bondanthila, Neermarga – An associate of Rotary Club of Mangalore Midtown.
Club President Rtn. Sunil Kunder, Club Secretary Rtn. Ralph D Souza and respective school headmistresses Sister Anita, Ms Priya, management committee office bearers Mr Mohan Bangere and RCC senior members Shivappa and Shekhar were present.
