Shrima Rai, sister-in-law of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, recently lauded her mother-in-law Brindya Rai for her strength and support amid her battle with cancer. Shrima shared her thoughts in an Instagram story, thanking Brindya for taking care of her children and allowing her a much-needed break.
She expressed admiration for Brindya’s resilience, stating, “A big shoutout to my MIL for her love, support, and babysitting while I went on my getaway. During her cancer journey, I refrained from posting her photos to respect her privacy.” Shrima’s story included a picture with a crown emoji honoring Brindya.
Last year, Aishwarya Rai revealed during an event for cancer patients that her mother had been diagnosed with the illness in early 2023. The revelation came during a program organized by GSB Seva Mandal, where Aishwarya shared her family’s ongoing battle with cancer. Notably, her late father, Krishnaraj Rai, had also fought cancer before passing away in 2017.
On the professional front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s acclaimed film Ponniyin Selvan 2, continuing to earn praise for her performances.
