New Delhi: In contrary to speculations that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) may form an alliance with the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday, January 13, appealed to people to not vote for the Congress party.
“Don’t vote for the Congress at all, if you vote for the Congress it will strengthen Narendra Modi. Let not your vote split and give all seven MPs to the AAP,” Kejriwal said.
Speaking at a gathering in Kakrola, Kejriwal also urged voters not to vote for the BJP claiming that the party’s seven MPs have not done anything for Delhi.
AAP has not made any formal announcement regarding an alliance with any party so far.
In its recent meeting, the AAP national executive has decided to contest 33 seats in the states of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Goa and Chandigarh.
