Five police officers were injured in a heavy-handed gunfight between security forces and Maoists in Chhattisgarh, underscoring the region’s worsening conflict. In an effort to provide the locals in the conflict-prone area with necessities in the recently constructed security camp in Tekulagudem village (Jagargunda police station, Sukma district), the Naxals launched an attack. The injured Jawans were flown to the Jagdalpur referral hospital via helicopter. The wounded soldiers were transported to Jagdalpur Referral Hospital via airlift. On January 30, 2024, in Tekulagudem village (Jagargunda police station, Sukma district), a new security camp was opened with the goal of improving the well-being of the local population in the conflict-ridden area.
