New Delhi: Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal has approved the Delhi government’s decision to reduce the number of people allowed to attend events in the national capital to 50. The earlier cap on the same was 200.
The decision has been taken by the Delhi government in view of the rising cases in the national capital.
The Delhi government has also proposed sealing crowded markets in order to control the Covid-19 spike in the national capital.
On Tuesday, the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced that it is contemplating to close down all crowded markets and also slash down the permissible number of people in events to 50.
The Lt Governor has approved the same on Wednesday, while the Delhi government will send a separate proposal to seal busy markets in Delhi if there is a massive violation of Covid-19 safety norms.
