New Delhi: With the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) gearing up for a tractor march today, the Noida Police has issued a traffic advisory cautioning commuters about potential disruptions and diversions in the Delhi-Noida border region.

The BKU has organized a tractor march along the Yamuna Expressway, spanning from Mehndipur in Rabupura to Falaida. In preparation for the event, prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been enforced, and additional personnel have been deployed at key entry and exit points of Delhi and Noida to ensure the safety of participants.

The planned route of the tractor march includes the Yamuna Expressway, Luharli Toll Plaza, and Mahamaya Flyover. To mitigate traffic disruptions, the Noida Police has outlined specific measures in their traffic advisory. Commuters traveling from Chilla border to Delhi are advised to use the Sector 14A flyover via Golchakkar Chowk Sector-15, while those coming from the DND border can utilize the elevated route via the Film City flyover in Sector 18. Similarly, vehicles from Kalindi border are recommended to navigate through Mahamaya flyover via Sector 37.

For travelers using the Yamuna Expressway, alternative routes are recommended, and opting for the metro is encouraged to minimize inconvenience. Certain restrictions on goods vehicles are also in place on specific routes, prompting drivers to explore alternative paths to reach their destinations.

Meanwhile, the Delhi police have eased restrictions at portions of the barriers at the Singhu and Tikri borders, following the farmers’ decision to halt their proposed march towards the national capital.

In a related development, the SKM has announced the observance of ‘Quit WTO Day’ today, urging the Centre to exert pressure on developed countries to exclude agriculture from World Trade Organization discussions.
