Delhi Minister Atishi made a sensational claim on Tuesday that she should join the BJP or be ready to be arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
Addressing press conference, she charged that now the ED is targeting her and second-line leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party. Claimed that she, MP Raghav Chadha, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Durgesh Pathak will be arrested.“I have been told that soon there will be ED raids at our residence and then we will be taken into custody,” Atishi said.
The leader claimed that she was approached to join the BJP through a personal contact. “I have been told that either I can join the BJP and save my political career or get arrested in the next one month. An individual very close to me told me that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made up his mind to put every AAP leader in jail. Now they want to arrest the remaining four top leaders,” she said.
Atishi added that the opposition has realized that the party would not crumble by arresting Chief Minister Kejriwal after looking at the turnout at Ramlila Maidan.
“We are not scared of the BJP… we are the soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal and the followers of Bhagat Singh. We will fight till the end to save our nation,” she added.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21, and he is lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with the alleged liquor policy case, being probed by the ED.
