Tragic Electrocution Incident Claims Life of 12-Year-Old Boy in Delhi

According to police reports, a devastating incident occurred in Delhi during a thunderstorm on Tuesday evening, resulting in the loss of life for a young boy aged 12. The tragedy unfolded in Khaira village, situated in the Chhawla area, where the victim, Kaif Mohammad, was outside his residence.

Details of the Incident

The boy tragically got electrocuted after coming into contact with an electric pole amidst the thunderstorm and dust storm that swept through the national capital, as confirmed by a police officer. Despite immediate efforts to rush him to RTRM Hospital, the young victim was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Investigation and Response

Following the incident, the crime team of the district, along with officials from the power department, conducted an inspection of the site. A case has been registered at Chhawla Police Station under the appropriate sections, the officer added.

Weather Conditions

On Tuesday, Delhi experienced strong winds ranging from 40 to 70 kilometres per hour, accompanied by light rainfall in some areas, adding to the challenges and dangers posed by the thunderstorm.

The unfortunate incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers associated with severe weather conditions, highlighting the importance of vigilance and safety measures during such events.
