An under-construction building collapsed in Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area on Saturday, causing concern among residents. Fortunately, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.
The four-storey building collapsed around 4 pm, with residents capturing the dramatic scene on their mobile phones. In videos shared widely, a loud sound can be heard as the building crumbles, enveloping the area in a thick cloud of dust.
The collapse resulted in debris falling onto nearby houses, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures. Prior to the collapse, police had cleared some nearby homes due to concerns over the building leaning towards one side during construction.
While the incident caused alarm, the absence of injuries was a relief. However, it highlights the importance of ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations in construction projects to prevent such occurrences in the future.
