New Delhi: Former minister and Congress leader D K Shivamumar, who was recently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged money laundering case, was admitted to the RML Hospital on Saturday, September 14 morning, after his health deteriorated during interrogation.
It can be recalled that, on Friday, Shivakumar was produced before the court, where his remand with the ED was extended till September 17. He was taken to the RML Hospital for a health check-up after his blood pressure levels began fluctuating. After he received treatment, he was taken back to the Tughlak Road Police Station, where he has been held since his arrest on September 3.
When the ED officials began his interrogation on Saturday morning, DKShi’s health again began to detiriorate and he was admitted to the RML Hospital.
According to sources, the former minister is suffering from high BP and sugar.
It can also be recalled that, as per the verdict pronounced by special judge Ajay Kumar yesterday, DKShi’s health should be given first priority and he should be provided with all medical facilities.
