NEW DELHI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a searing summer across most parts of the country, with an increase in ‘heat-wave days’ expected from April to June.
However, some pockets of northwest India, including Delhi-NCR, may experience relief as IMD predicts ‘normal to below-normal’ day temperatures for the region.
In its seasonal outlook for the next three months, IMD also anticipates ‘normal to below-normal’ night temperatures in isolated areas of northeast and northwest India, including the capital. Additionally, Delhi is expected to receive ‘normal to above-normal’ rainfall in April.
