Dhar: A tragic incident unfolded on Thursday evening in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, as a 40-year-old teacher from a private school was fatally shot while riding his motorcycle home after attending a Republic Day function rehearsal. Identified as Virendra Singh, also known as Bindhu, a resident of Kod locality, he was attacked by an unidentified assailant in the Bidwal area, approximately 50 kilometers away from the district headquarters, according to Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar.
The victim, who taught at Manas Academy in Shergarh, fell victim to this senseless act of violence. Authorities have initiated an investigation, and efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrator, as stated by the SP.
In response to this tragic event, Manas Academy took to social media to announce the cancellation of its Republic Day event scheduled for Friday.
