According to an official statement released late Monday night, four passengers were arrested in connection with the seizure, which included more than 6.8 kg of gold and diamonds worth ₹4.44 crore and ₹2.02 crore, respectively.

Additionally, 10 Indian nationals, including passengers from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Riyadh, Muscat, Bangkok, and Singapore, were intercepted with 6.199 kg of gold valued at ₹4.04 crore. The gold was found concealed “in the rectum, on body and inside the baggage” of the individuals. Three of them were arrested following the interceptions.
