Panaji: Nearly 1,500 Indian and international artists are lined up to participate in the state’s biggest multi-disciplinary art gala, the Serendipity Arts Festival which will get underway at 12 different venues across Goa from December 15, organisers of the event said on Tuesday.

The eight-day festival which will showcase 100 dynamic projects showcasing visual, performing and culinary arts projects across the state capital, is also expected to unveil slices of yet-undisplayed Goan art.

“I am particularly excited to see projects like Mundo Goa and Goa Familia, which explore facets of Goan art that have never been displayed in the state before,” patron of the festival Swati Salgaocar said at a press conference held near Panaji on Tuesday.

“The festival is organised for eight days across 12 iconic venues in Panaji, which will transform the city into a vibrant cultural space with multiple exhibitions, performances and immersive art experiences involving over 1,500 regional and international artists,” Salgaocar also said of the festival, which is in its fourth edition.

“The fourth edition of the festival hopes to bring many diverse voices to the fore. From archival shows to experimental projects, from commissioned work to performance art, we are furthering our mandate of creating a robust programme that is accessible and inclusive for everyone,” Smriti Ramgarhia director of Serendipity Arts Foundation and festival said.
