New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon citizens on Friday to participate enthusiastically in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing the significance of a robust voter turnout in fortifying democracy.

Encouraging constituents to exercise their franchise extensively, PM Modi stressed the pivotal role of each vote as a manifestation of individual voices. He specifically addressed young and female voters, urging them to join the electoral process in significant numbers.

“Encouraging everyone in constituencies voting today, in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, to participate extensively. A strong voter turnout bolsters our democratic fabric. I particularly urge our young and female voters to make their presence felt. Your vote embodies your voice!” expressed the prime minister on X.

Voting for 88 seats across 13 states is currently underway in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

In light of the comparatively lower turnout in the first phase on April 19 as compared to 2019, the Election Commission has been actively endeavoring to enhance voter participation.
