Actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband, entrepreneur Raj Kundra, recently visited revered spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan. In a video circulating online, Kundra makes an emotional gesture, offering one of his kidneys to the guru after learning about his health struggles.
The couple spent time in the serene company of Maharaj, listening attentively to his teachings. During their conversation, Maharaj revealed that both his kidneys had failed and he had been living with the condition for the past decade. Visibly moved, Kundra expressed deep admiration, saying he had followed Maharaj’s videos for two years, which often answered his doubts and fears. He then offered, “If I can help, one of my kidneys is yours.”
Maharaj graciously declined, assuring Kundra that his goodwill was enough, adding, “Until the call comes, we won’t leave this world because of a kidney.” Shilpa Shetty also engaged in a spiritual discussion, asking about chanting “Radha,” to which Maharaj explained it could help overcome life’s challenges.
Premanand Maharaj, known for his devotion to Lord Radha-Krishna, attracts devotees nationwide, including frequent visitors Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. His sermons on love, faith, and the power of God’s name often garner millions of online views.
The visit came amid reports of a ₹60-crore fraud allegation against Shilpa and Kundra, linked to their now-defunct Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Both have denied the accusations, calling them “baseless and malicious.”
