Mumbai: In a shocking incident, seven of 11 accused arrested in connection with the alleged sexaul assault of 12 minor tribal students of Ninadhi Ashram school, are said to be teachers. The remaining four are the staffers of the school, police said.
According to reports three among the 12 minor tribal girls in the age group of 12-14 years are pregnant.
It may be recalled that on Thursday night at least 11 persons from Buldhana area of the state were arrested by the Maharashtra police for raping 12 minor tribal students. These minors were reportedly raped by the accused while returning home for Diwali holidays.
A special investigation team was constituted under senior IPS officer to probe the matter. Meanwhile, the police have claimed that the number of the accused is likely to increase.
