Doctors at Chhatarpur District Hospital dismissed sensational claims that a woman in Madhya Pradesh had given birth to seven snakes, confirming that what appeared to be snakes were actually elongated blood clots.

The strange incident was reported from MauMasaniya village in Khajuraho, where a woman named Rinki Ahirwar shocked locals by asserting she had delivered baby snakes. She claimed to have experienced intense stomach pain, after which she allegedly passed two snake-like creatures, even warning that anyone who looked at them would die. The so-called “snake babies” were reportedly kept under a bowl, drawing curious villagers to her home.

Following the commotion, Rinki was taken to Rajnagar Health Center, where Dr. Awadhesh Chaturvedi, Block Medical Officer, clarified that she had recently had her menstrual cycle, which ended on Monday. Upon examination, it was determined that she was not pregnant and that the snake-like forms were blood clots, which can sometimes appear long and thread-like.

The clots eventually dissolved, and even Rinki acknowledged the truth. Though she still complained of minor stomach pain, she was referred for an ultrasound at Chhatarpur.

Experts emphasized that humans biologically cannot give birth to snakes, and such beliefs likely stem from superstition or psychological stress. A viral video of Rinki claiming to have birthed snakes added to the confusion, but doctors’ prompt intervention ensured that facts prevailed and misinformation was curbed.
