New Delhi: Just two days before the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha election, in which all the constituencies of the Delhi go for polling, former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi highlighted the importance of these elections in safeguarding democracy and the Constitution. Urging the people of Delhi to actively participate, she called for support for INDIA bloc candidates across all seven seats.
In a video statement, the Congress parliamentary party chief underscored that this Lok Sabha election revolves around critical issues like unemployment, inflation, and threats to constitutional institutions. She stressed the importance of each vote, stating that they hold the power to generate employment, curb inflation, empower women, and shape a future of equality for India.
As campaigning in the city concluded on May 23, Sonia Gandhi urged Delhi residents to cast their votes on May 25 and ensure victory for Congress and INDIA coalition candidates on all seven seats. The results of the elections are scheduled to be announced on June 4.
