Noida: Noida police apprehended two suspects on Tuesday in connection with a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the tragic death of a man in Sector 24 of Noida, as reported by authorities.
The authorities have successfully located the vehicle implicated in the incident, and they are actively pursuing further leads as part of their ongoing investigation.
The deceased victim, identified as Janak Dev, fell victim to the accident that occurred on Sunday in the Sector 24 area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh. Following the collision, the perpetrators hastily fled the scene, leaving the victim behind.
The incident came to light after Pradeep, the son of the deceased, reported the matter to law enforcement officials. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Noida, Manish Kumar Mishra, confirmed receiving the report from Pradeep, who recounted the unfortunate event involving his father and a speeding vehicle.
ADCP Mishra assured that the authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, with the body of the deceased being sent for a post-mortem examination to gather crucial evidence.
Efforts are underway to procure CCTV footage from the vicinity to aid in the identification of the vehicle and its driver responsible for the reckless act. ADCP Mishra reiterated the commitment of law enforcement to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice once they are positively identified.
