Manipur: Amithabh Arandam, a police sub inspector in the Manipur police has alleged that he was beaten up by the security detail of the Manipur speaker Lokeshwar, after his car was rammed by his escort vehicle near the Kangla gate, Impha.
The attack his wife Vandana alleged came after the inspector gave way to the speeding convoy after a delay of five minutes. He was in uniform at the time, and yet the security detail also policemen beat him up. He has filed an FIR. A counter complaint has been filed by the speaker’s security detail.
Vandana alleged that the speaker was present at the spot, but walked away from the scene.
