Darshan Thoogudeepa Set for Spinal Surgery as Bail Extended in Fan Murder Case

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is scheduled to undergo spinal surgery on December 11, according to medical documentation submitted to the Karnataka High Court. The report, prepared by Dr. Naveen, a neurosurgeon at BGS Hospital, revealed that the actor’s spine condition is critical, causing intense back pain. To address this, the surgery will be performed under general anesthesia. The actor is also receiving physiotherapy and steroid injections to prepare his body for the procedure.

On December 5, Darshan’s medical reports were presented to the court, ensuring full transparency of the treatment plan. Darshan’s wife has been fully informed about the risks associated with the surgery.

Meanwhile, in light of his ongoing medical situation, the Karnataka High Court extended Darshan’s interim bail, which was initially set to expire on December 11. His lawyer, C.V. Nagesh, requested the extension due to the actor’s health complications and scheduled surgery. The court acknowledged the seriousness of his medical condition, which included fluctuations in his blood pressure, complicating his health even further.

Previously, Darshan had spent 131 days in jail before his release on bail on October 30. Despite his legal issues, the actor, who is a prominent figure in Kannada cinema, continues to receive strong support from his fans.
