Dubai: The Sixteenth episode of NewsKarnataka.com’s talk show ‘Sunday Celebrity’ was aired on Sunday February 13 at 8.00 pm IST.

The guest for the evening was Vocalist Syeda Tabsira.

Floyd Kiran was the host for the event. The programme was live-streamed on NewsKarnataka.com’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

Floyd Kiran welcomed the guest and introduced her.

Reminiscing her childhood memories, she said being born in a Muslim family music forms such as Qawwali, Naat, and Hamd were common household stuff for us and so even at school I had encouragement from parents. Taking part in Shastriya Sangeet and being awarded second prize further more ignited me to pursue this field, said Syeda Tabsira.

Landing in an Event Hub that is Dubai, opened a lot of opportunities to me. It was never a dream to turn my talent in a commercial way. But taking part in a Karaoke competition held in Dubai gave a small platform for our show.

In the ‘Celebrity Favourites’ round she said, Tabu is her nick name. Apart from music, Travelling and Cooking are her hobbies, she informed.

Answering on how she manages her passion along her family she said, I am mother of two now and there is way that I can say ‘No’ smiled Tabu.

Expressing her happy moment she said, Going to the holy city of Mecca and Madeena and performing my Umra was the happiest.
And also said, Losing one and half month baby of my brother was the saddest chapter in life.

When I am sad I wish and pray but when I am angry I enter my kitchen, listen to music and start cooking as a way to vent out, she said.

Saying Life for me is an ‘Illusion’ Tabu dreams to become a Playback singer. And also having a fame in her own State, Karnataka is another dream of her, she said. She also expressed her gratitude to NewsKarnataka for making her part of the show.

Floyd Kiran signed off the session.
