Pune: In a shocking incident near Pune‘s Symbiosis College in the Viman Nagar area today, December 27, around 10-12 LPG cylinders exploded. Initial reports indicate that nearly 100 LPG gas cylinders were stored unlawfully at a construction site.
The explosion occurred following a fire outbreak at the location, causing 10 cylinders to detonate. The Pune Fire Department promptly responded to the emergency, deploying three fire tenders to contain the situation. Presently, authorities report that the fire is under control.
Despite the magnitude of the explosion and subsequent fire, there have been no reported damages or casualties thus far. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the illegal storage of LPG cylinders and the cause of the fire.
Authorities are actively looking into the matter, and more details are expected to emerge as the situation develops. The Pune Fire Department is slated to provide additional information as the investigation progresses.
