Belagavi: District In-Charge Minister Govind Karjol on Saturday September 17 urged officials to consider farmers’ interests when conducting surveys of crop damage and to take appropriate measures.
Speaking at a meeting with officials here on Saturday, Karjol said that crop damage has been reported in some areas even after the joint survey, which should be considered for compensation. Horticultural and agricultural areas have been completely destroyed in several places due to the recent downpours that have lashed the area.
Karjol asked representatives of the Agriculture and Horticulture Department to take the aforementioned factors into account while conducting the survey. age in the district as a result of the recent heavy rain.
