Belagavi: India’s future mainly depends on the farmers. We can live without gold, but it is difficult to live for a moment without food, said Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa. He added that the farmers, who give food to the people of the world, should not be in trouble.

Gurudev Patil founder of Guru Road Lines in Kanabaragi, is constructing the new Yediyurappa Kalyana Mantapa, on the outskirts of Koppa Cross at Chikka Bagewadi in Gaddikara in Belagavi Taluk. Speaking after laying the foundation stone, he said that if he comes into politics as the son of a farmer and does social service along with agriculture, farmer-friendly programmes can be formulated.

“That is why I have presented an Agriculture Budget separately for farmers and responded to their pain,” he said.
