Belagavi: A bumper offer from the State Government to sugarcane growers for the new year has been announced.
It has been ordered to sugar factories to transfer the profits coming to the factories from the sale of Molasses to the farmers. Apart from the FRP rate, it has been ordered to pay Rs. 100 more per metric tonne.
This will result in an additional payment of Rs. 622 Crore to sugarcane growers in the State. Earlier, the State government had ordered payment of Rs. 204 Crore from the total Ethanol at the rate of Rs. 50 out of the dividend from Ethanol.
So far Ra. 804 Crore has been ordered to be paid as an additional amount to sugarcane growers, excluding the FRP rate for the entire year through sugarcane byproducts such as Ethanol and Molasses.
