Dharwad: Activist Amulya Leona’s “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan is now being politicised as the verbal war between the ruling BJP and the Opposition has gone to the next level. State large and small scale industries minister Jagadish Shettar has slammed Congress leader D K Shivakumar for saying that “Amulya should have been given a chance to speak”.

Addressing the media on Saturday, February 22, Shettar said, “The Congress leaders themselves are behind the ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. It is the Congress party and its leaders who have supported and elevated such people to commit an act of this level. It won’t be a shocker if DKShi also begins shouting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans in the future.”

“During the Congress regime, lakhs of Bangladeshi infiltrators entered India and made their way to Bengaluru. At least now, the Congress party must stand for the country and help protect it. They have already created fear in the minds of the Muslims using the CAA,” he added.

It can be recalled that recently, when media personnel asked DKShi about his reaction to Amulya’s ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ row, he had said that he would not comment on the statements made by her and said that she should have been given a chance to clarify what she wanted to say.
