Gadag: People fed up of heat, moving towards cold drinks

Bangkok: Worst April heatwave in Asian history

Gadag: People are reeling under the scorching heat wave, which is much brighter this time than last year. At around 9-10 am, the people have resort to cold drinks to protect themselves from the scorching sun rays.

The intensity of the summer heat this year is increasing day by day. People who have been on the streets since morning are reeling under the intensity of the sun, which is burning the people. People who are reeling under the impact of this have heaved a sigh of relief and turned to artificial soft drinks, including natural buttermilk, to quench the thirst.

The temperature in the town on the side of the hill is increasing day by day. They are struggling to get rid of the sweat that is flowing from their bodies. People are scrambling for earthen pots, known as the fridge of the poor which has disappeared. The demand for soft drinks such as coconut water, lemon, watermelon, ice cream and sugarcane milk has naturally increased. In the hot summer heat, people flock to cold drinks shops and are reluctant to step out of their homes.
