Youth stabbed over window seat dispute in Belagavi city bus

Belagavi – A 20-year-old student, identified as Manj Sanadi, was stabbed following an argument over a window seat on a semi-urban bus plying the Pant Balekundri–CBT route. The incident occurred at the City Bus Terminus (CBT) on Wednesday.

According to sources, Manj had a heated exchange with a group of unidentified boys during the bus journey. Once the bus arrived at the terminus, one of the individuals attacked him with a knife and fled the scene.

Manj was rushed to the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) District Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Market police have taken up the case and are investigating the incident, including examining CCTV footage and tracking the attacker.
