Bengaluru: A day after a PU student was mowed down by a BMTC bus in Majestic, another private college student was run over by a speeding BMTC bus on Uttarahalli Main Road near Chikkakallasandra on Tuesday.
Samved Dutta, son of Professor Narasimhamurthy, who works at a private college is the deceased. He was a resident of BHCS Layout in Uttarahalli.
According to the police, the bus (KA 01 FA 947) rammed Samved’s bike and ran over him. He sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.
The bus driver Shivakumar has been arrested by Kumarswamy Layout traffic police.
Earlier on Monday, Poornima (18), a student of Mount Carmel College was killed after she came under the wheels of a BMTC bus on Majestic road.
