Bengaluru: BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel has said that the Congress has openly shown that its priority is ‘appeasement’.
Kateel, while speaking about the recent Bengaluru riots, that claimed three lives, said in a tweet that the Congress has chosen ‘appeasement’ over social justice and peace.
“They have shown that appeasement is all that matters to them. The Congress leaders have been extremely cautious even while condemning the DJ Halli riots. They have condemned the incident but have not pressed for action against the rioters. KPCC Chief DK Shi feels that the riots happened due to the inefficiency of the police,” he said adding that the Congress continues to play minority appeasement politics.
It may be recalled that angry mob vandalised the residence of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasa Murthy, after one of the relatives of the MLA posted a derogatory post against Prophet Mohommed. Three person lost their life in the episode, while scores of people were injured.
