Auto Rickshaw Drivers Vandalize Commuter’s Car in Bengaluru

A disturbing incident of road rage unfolded in Bengaluru as auto rickshaw drivers allegedly vandalized a commuter’s car, captured in a viral video. Identified only as BHP, the victim recounted the ordeal that occurred at Ejipura signal in south Bengaluru during an afternoon commute. BHP claimed that the confrontation ensued after he overtook a few cars, prompting two autos to become agitated for not allowing them to pass.

According to BHP, the auto drivers attempted to intimidate him, ultimately cornering his Volkswagen car by blocking its path. The harrowing incident was captured by a dash camera, shared by an automobile platform. The footage depicted a man aggressively confronting BHP before shattering the car window into pieces.

Following the viral spread of the video, which garnered over 2.21 lakh views, Bengaluru Police stepped in, urging for more details. BHP, who sustained injuries including bleeding from the ear and arms due to glass fragments, expressed his trauma in an anonymous post. The video also showed the car being assessed by technicians at a service center, highlighting the extent of the damage caused by the altercation.
