Bescom received Mujahid’s application for a job, which he had submitted. He had a document with him that said his brother, Bescom employee C. K. Mohammad Shaikh, had been electrocuted while on duty. As more applications from the Chitradurga District were being submitted, the Bescom Deputy accounts officer began to have suspicions. SP K Parashuram said that he thoroughly checked all the documents, which revealed the scandal.
Document verification showed that a person by the name of C. K. Mohammad Shaikh never worked in the district. The police questioned C. K. Mohammad Shaikh after filing a case against him. According to the investigation, six people obtained jobs at Bescom over the last two years using fake documents.
