Bengaluru: The Varthur Police has arrested two thieves for breaking the handlocks of two-wheelers and stealing using a fake key and seized 10 two-wheelers worth Rs. 5 lakh.
The arrested have been identified as Srinivas (22) and Syed Wasim Akram (23). The accused, who used to identify two-wheelers parked in parking lots and in front of houses in the City, used to break the handlock and steal using a fake key.
They used to travel to Hosur and Tamil Nadu on the stolen bike and sell it at a lower price. The police, who were investigating the vehicle theft case under Varthur Police Station limits, conducted an operation and arrested two persons.
