Bengaluru: The Congress on Saturday October 1 slammed the BJP for advertisements in Kannada in the State, calling the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru as the ‘grandfather of India’s partition’.

As Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the second day in the State, BJP unit had advertised in Kannada newspapers that said, “Can great grandson unite what grandfather of partition did?” A map dividing Pakistan and Bangladesh at the centre of Nehru’s and Rahul Gandhi’s photographs. Congress has taken the allegations seriously.

They added that right wing ideology has always been on history’s wrong side.
