Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) clinched victory in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) on March 17, triumphing over Delhi Capitals (DC) by eight wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The historic win sparked widespread celebrations among fans, with social media platforms flooded with jubilant posts and some enthusiasts taking to the streets of Bengaluru, setting off firecrackers in revelry.

Amidst the fervor, a heartwarming gesture by a cab driver in Bengaluru has captured the attention of many. Sports journalist Navneeth Krishna shared a picture on X of a chocolate received from the cab driver, who was distributing chocolates to all his passengers on that day, simply to commemorate RCB’s victory. The driver’s act of spreading joy reflects the deep-seated passion for cricket and RCB within the city.

Krishna’s tweet, posted on March 18, quickly gained traction, accumulating over 68,400 views and garnering numerous likes and comments. Individuals praised the spirit of Bengaluru and its people, citing their unwavering love and support for cricket and RCB as truly inspiring.

In the aftermath of RCB’s win, former India skipper and RCB captain Virat Kohli extended his congratulations to Smriti Mandhana and her team via video conferencing. Kohli’s gesture further underscored the significance of RCB’s triumph, as he shared a post from RCB’s official Instagram handle on his story, captioning it with admiration and applause emojis.
