Bengaluru: Revenue Minister R. Ashok has said that Cauvery Tantra 2.0 will be implemented by the Revenue Department and the property registration process will be completed in seven to ten minutes from now on.

Speaking at a press conference, he said, “This software is innovative and citizen-friendly. The menace of middlemen will be reduced. We will put in place an online system. The system will be operational in all districts within three months. All kinds of registrations of the Revenue Department, including property, and marriages, etc. will be made online,” he said.

“People had to wait from morning till evening. Even educated people had made many complaints. Thus, we have solved it. Before registering, if the deed is sent to the sub-registrar’s office sitting at home, the sub-registrar will correct it if it is wrong. Then if all goes well, they will be asked to pay a fixed amount. The slot will be booked once all goes well. At that time, you can go and get registered with your face, signature, and thumb impression. This will reduce data entry. ECand certificate can be obtained online,” he explained.
