Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said he will visit the T. K. Halli unit of Bengaluru Water Board in Mandya District that will manage the drinking water supply to Bengaluru City due to the rushing of water into the unit following heavy rains on the night of Sunday September 4.
Speaking to mediapersons in Vidhana Soudha on Monday September 5, he said, “I am leaving for Mandya soon after Teachers’ Day function to inspect the situation.”
Draining water from the pumping station is a top priority for the Mandya District Administration. By evening, it’s expected that everything will be under control.
Bommai said that 30 places in the Mahadevapura and Bommanahalli zones experienced extensive damage as a result of the heavy rains.
