Bengaluru: In an unexpected move, the State Government has removed the heads of all the urban development bodies.
Those who were removed include Ravishankar Mijar, Chairman Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA). H. V. Rajiv, Mysuru Urban Development Authority, K. S. Ramesh Holla, Madikeri etc. A total of 13 Chairpersons have been removed from their posts.
Many of them are yet to complete the one and half year’s term fixed for the boards and corporations.
According to sources, the idea is to appoint new faces for these posts and prepare the party for the 2023 State Assembly election.
