Bengaluru: The hearing of the case filed by the Karnataka State Election Commission (SEC) on holding elections for the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has been postponed by the High Court of Karnataka to January 9.
The SEC informed the court on Wednesday December 14 informed that it has submitted an application to the Supreme Court seeking direction on this issue, and that hearing is likely to take place on December 15.
An application seeking more time to hold the poll has also been made to the SC by the State Government.
The hearing was postponed on Wednesday by Justice Hemanth Chandangoudar after he had recorded the SEC submission.
