Bengaluru: With the idea of infusing confidence among the family members of those who died of COVID 19, Bengaluru rural MP DK Suresh attended the final rites of a Kanakapura resident who had died of COVID 19.
Suresh who was in the Kanakapura town along with his relative Ravi who is also an MLC attended the funeral of Narasimha Setty, 73, attired in PPE.
“My idea is that there shall not be any misinformation regarding the final rites of COVID 19 victims,” he told reporters later.
He is the first people’s representative in the state to participate in the final rites of any COVID 19 victim. It may be recalled that in many areas across the state locals are opposing the final rites of the COVID 19 victims in their vicinity fearing the spread of the disease.
