Bengaluru Rural: The CPI has cooperated to lay a compound on the land of Dalits, alleged Senior Dalit activist B. Gopal and demanded a proper probe into the matter and action against the guilty.
Speaking at a massive protest organised by the Constitution Defense Union in Sarjapura of the tayluk, he said that this struggle is being carried out to condemn the Heggondahalli Dalits’ land for helping to set up a compound for the others and the filing of rowdy sheets against some Dalits. Inspector has joined hand with the a Trust to seize the land in Heggondahalli Survey No. 72/2, he alleged. He said that the concerned authorities and people’s representatives should pay attention to this and provide justice to those who have suffered injustice.
A memorandum was also handed over to Bengaluru Rural Additional SP Purushotham.
Purushotham assured that legal action would be taken on the instructions of the authorities.
Thousands of activists marched from Heggondanahalli to Sarjapura playground for about 9 kms, demanding the suspension of the inspector. They took out a march on foot.
