Bengaluru: The State Government has decided to revise the power price from Friday July 1. The revision means a hike of power price from the current RS. 19 to Rs. 31.
As per the reports, the hike is made based on the demands of the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) pending for the last two years. KERC had support of various District Electrical Boards too.
Energy Minister V. Sunil Kumar had also hinted of a price hike as pending bills from various departments to KERC is to the tune of over Rs. 16,000 Crore.
