Bengaluru: Upset over a family dispute, a woman employee of a private company allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the 9th floor of an apartment building in Varthur Police Station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Upasana Rawat (30), a resident of Disha Apartments. The victim’s husband, Nihar Ranjan Rawat, has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
According to police, the woman committed suicide by falling from the 9th floor of the apartment building after a quarrel over a family dispute.
It is said that Nihar Ranjan Rawat and Upasana Rawat got married nine years ago and the couple was staying in an apartment. Both were employees of a private company. As there was no child, there was a dispute between the two and they tried to get a divorce. It is said that Upasana resorted to suicide due to this reason.
