Bengaluru: Following a gag order issued by the party high command, all the BJP MLAs in the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency have jumped on the campaign trail of party candidate Tejasvi Surya.
According to sources, the party national leaders called all the MLAs, including former DCM R Ashok and directed them to honour the party’s decision. Ashok has been tasked with arranging 20,000 people for party national president Amit Shah’s road show in Banashankari on Tuesday, April 2 afternoon.
Following the directions, all the leaders and MLAs met for a strategy meeting on Monday evening in the city. Interestingly, party leader and MLA V Somanna, who had expressed his reservations about the selection of Tejasvi Surya, made it clear that he will now campaign for Tejasvi.
“The party’s decision is final,” he said in the meeting.
