Book Brahma is set to organize a three-day literature festival celebrating South Indian languages from August 8 to 10. The event will bring together over 350 writers, scholars, and artists for more than 180 panel discussions, spread across eight parallel stages.
Key highlights of the festival include:
- Sessions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and English
- Eight cultural programmes alongside literary sessions
- Entry is free for all attendees
In a new initiative, one non-South Indian language will be featured each year. For 2025, Marathi takes the spotlight, with languages like Bengali expected in future editions.
Prominent speakers include Bhanumathi Mustak, Deepa Bhasthi, Chandrashekhar Kambar, Damodar Mauzo, TM Krishna, S Diwakar, Manu S Pillai, Paul Zacharia, and Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
Festival Director Satish Chapparike emphasized the aim of building a tradition that bridges linguistic and cultural gaps through literature.
