Chitradurga: The list of Congress candidates for the forthcoming elections will be ready by January end, said state Chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to media at Channagiri, Siddaramaiah said, “BJP as a party is very weak in the state and many of its leaders are in touch with me.” The party is scouting for candidates in desperation, he added.
Siddarmaiah was apparently countering the claim of the BJP leaders of a Congress leadership exodusprior to the assembly elections during their state wide Parivartan rally.
Speaking on the Doctors strike, he said, “Doctors working in the private sector in the state misunderstood the KPME bill and went ahead with the strike. The government has cleared their doubts and they have overwhelmingly welcomed the introduction of Universal health scheme in the state and the government will fix the rates for the scheme”.
The state budget will be presented by February end, he added.
