Davanagere: An old woman was killed by a leopard at Phalavanahalli Village of the District here on Tuesday August 23.
The deceased has been identified as Kamala Bai Naik. She was cutting grass in the field on the village outskirts when the incident occurred.
Among group of women who had gone to cut grass, the leopard pounced on Kamala and took her 50 feet away from the field. When the other women screamed for help, the leopard ran away leaving the woman. However, she already had succumbed to injuries.
